What is Shibari
Shibari is a Japanese style of bondage favoring aesthetics and technical merits. The artform dates back to the times of the samurai in the process of hojo jutsu: a ritual used to restrain a defeated opponent on the battlefield. Today, shibari is used for body decoration and bondage restraint. Modern shibari strives for visual beauty, proper tying techniques, and Japanese cultural accents. One only uses jute ropes for proper shibari.

Who are we?
ShibariArt.PL is a group of friends who share a love and passion for art of rope bondage. Every product we offer is designed through our own experimentation and well tested. All products are hand made by us (no mass production!). We strive to make our products of the utmost quality and distinction, with unique colours and design. Everything is made to order, so please reach out to us for any special requests. We emphasize personalization: every rope and gadget is a unique piece meant to express your imagination and further your art.

Hello! We are three shibari masters based aroundthe world. Some of us perform in shibari shows; some prefer to tie in the comfort of our own studios and private events. Some love to take photos; others love to be photographed. Some adore to create tools; others love to use them artfully.
